Stuttgart

This blog was started about 2 years ago to show Nat how easy it would be for him to post photos of Molls and Riles, but I'll try to use it for now (though you'll find a photo of Nat in the first posting.

Okay, the photo below was taken over 5 years ago when I was in Naples, Italy and we were about to chow on some good pasta, but my camera has been in my backpack since I arrived and I haven't gotten around to taking any photos yet.

Late flight leaving Norfolk, then 5 minutes to spare arriving in Atlanta, then easy window seat 9 hour flight to Stuttgart. Overcast but not too cold. My two huge bags didn't make the transition on the plane over, so I'll get them tomorrow (hopefully). Too bad my sneakers and toiletries are in those bags. I'm walking around in the great shoes I got from Greg, but not ideal for a lot of walking.

Dr. Jim McNaughton, about 10 years older than me but really nice, picked me up and just dropped me off at the library after taking me all around the base, out to lunch, and into town for the last 5 hours. I've checked into my hotel, and I'm now at the library on base.
About 3 hours sleep on the way over, so I'm going to stay up the rest of the day so that I can beat the jet lag quickly. Currently wonderfully sunny and warmish with crocuses peeping through at the local park.
